TIme to Vote!
The Yarn Challenge entries have arrived and are displayed in the window. I am always surprised at the talent that lies within all these creative Women. (Yup just Ladies again!)
Please come and Vote!
There are two lovely prizes to be won and all those who come into the shop to vote or otherwise can fill in a ballot.
First Prize is a Bag of Weekend Yarn, (Yarn Challenge Yarn) and a Pattern book. Donated by the Berroco Company and the other prize is a Diddy Bag donated by the Nantucket Bagg Company.
Check out the video posted earlier...by mistake, but that works too!
Don't forget March Madness Continues...more yarn has come out from hiding! There are some great deals on lovely yarns available.
See You Soon.

March!
What a week!
Monday was spent doing catch up things, the dentist, the accountant and errands. Monday evening I was asked to speak at the Maple Grove Women's Institute meeting. I yakked for too long but came home with a lovely pot of Shamrocks, I am enjoying their lovely blooms.
Tuesday we received two big shipments of yarn, (who ordered all this?)
Wednesday was Knitt'n Night, they are always fun! Some brought show and tell. Barb decided that the 'Frogging" night was such a success she would bring something to rip back as the rest knit.
Thursday more yarn, Moda Lame and Moda are back into stock. The selection of Ruffled yarn is very full, just don't ask for anything Red or Purple! One supplier sent some new sock yarn, the colourways are delightful. We filled up the Cascade 220, I didn't know that we stocked 66 colours!
Friday, no new shipments but the clearance area continues to be replenished as yarns make their way out of the shop. Newly added is Peruvia Quick, Click Aran and some sock yarn. (You know that sock yarn doesn't count as stash!)
Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day...enjoy!
See You Soon.

That was fun!
I found this pattern on Ravelry: Wingspan
I had the perfect yarn: Lang Mille Colori socks and lace. Took all but a few meters of the 400 meters. (I was knitting pretty fast on Wednesday night just to be sure there was enough..knitting faster helps!)
The Farmer walked by this as it was drying and said "That's purrdy!"
Next up was my yarn challenge project!
Someone has there's done and brougt it into the shop! (no peeking until they all arrive!)
March Madness continues...as things move out more yarns make it out into the sale area. Some knitting related bags and accessories have also made their way there too!Wednesday, March 7, 2012

Froggress
Wednesday was Leap Year, Leap Frog, Frog Knitt'n Night!
We had a great time ripping back, we will do this again! Very therapeutic!
Gwen's slightly off gauge Buttercup |
Ready for a second chance! |
A Lace project gone wrong. We learned that putting a beaded project into a large bowl to frog meant most of the beads landed in the bowl! |
Nancy's Green Sweater, this is its second time in the frog pile! |
The idea made sense but...all done except the cast off..its now going to be a scarf! |

March will be a busy month, Yarn Challenge competitors are madly working on their projects. Next week..starting Wednesday, the sale stuff comes out of hiding. March Madness begins!
